“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You FALL to the level of your systems.”
- James Clear
If your business fails, don’t let it be because you lack a customer acquisition and retention system.
Implement the best system you can with the resources you have available.
I know that if you are a small business, startup or entrepreneur, you don’t have a big budget or lots of highly skilled systems people at your disposal.
So I’ve come up with a way to give you a world-class scalable system at a price you can afford.
Even my enterprise solution costs less than the minimum wage of an individual in most developed countries.
I can do this for two reasons.
- I am systemising my own business
- I live in South Africa, which has a weak currency
If you are willing to put some effort into implementing what I am about to show you, it will change your business forever.
If you have the information systems expertise, you could even implement everything I show you yourself.
But before I reveal the option, I want to introduce you to this awesome platform I’ve found.
I’ve decided to build my systems on this platform instead of building a platform myself because that would cost millions of dollars (which I don’t have).
Following almost a decade of searching for an affordable and scalable platform for small businesses, I've found that this platform is (almost) perfect.
It’s called Systeme (thanks to its French Founder).
I’ve mapped out what’s possible with Systeme.
But, don’t be overwhelmed. You don’t have to look under the hood if you don’t want to.

A system is more than its parts.
A system is a group of interacting or interrelated elements that act according to a set of rules to form a unified whole. (Wikipedia)
Every part is needed for a system to work, but no single part is the system.
Even the smallest part can break the system.
You can have a Ferrari that’s 99.9% complete, but if the wheel (lug) nuts are missing, the wheels literally come off.
This is how I see the marketing software world:
They typically offer a trial period, often 14 or 30 days, with the promise that you can build your system in that time.
This implies that the system will pay for itself once the trial period is over.
But if you are not an information systems expert that’s not what typically happens.
Here’s how it often plays out.
You start out enthusiastically, believing that your newly found system is going to transform your business and give you all the wealth you desire.
You watch the sales videos or even attend a few webinars.
Everything looks so easy. It’s all “point and click” or “drag and drop.”
There are templates, secrets, shortcuts and hacks to get fast results.
You sign up for the free trial and now it’s a race against the clock to get your customer acquisition and retention system (called by various catchy names) up and running.
But soon reality sets in.
You are not going to get it done before the trial period ends.
But it doesn’t matter. You pay for the first month, giving you another 30 days.
You should get it done by then. Right?
You throw yourself into learning as much as you can with all the free stuff you can find. (Bearing in mind that you still have a day job or a business to run).
But you still have no system.
“Maybe the free stuff isn’t telling the full story,” you think to yourself.
So, you purchase some books, courses, guides and templates, all promising easy solutions.
But you still have no system.
This can go on for months before you cancel.
Which could lead to hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars without any return.
In the end, you give up, saying that online marketing doesn’t work for you.
But it’s not true.
It’s your system that doesn’t work.
We are living in the best time in human history.
We have free access to platforms with billions of users.
And any sized business can reach enough people cost-effectively.
We just need a system to acquire and retain customers cost-effectively.
I’ve been designing, building and managing systems for decades.
I’ve worked with big corporations and small businesses.
But, I’ve always charged a premium for my services.
So, I only needed a few clients to survive.
But, I’ve been running a side project with the aim of providing a world-class scalable solution for small businesses, startups and entrepreneurs.
It’s been a long road, as all the decent platforms use the free trial model, or have a very limited free version.
But the universe has answered!
Systeme has a fully functional free version with all the parts we need to get started.
You don’t have to race against the clock, as the free version does not expire.
But, we still need to build our system.
I’ve spent the past few months learning and applying what I’ve learned about Systeme.
I’ve also done their certification program.

The Free version still has some limitations that influence what we can build.
Here are some of the limitations of the free version:
- 2,000 subscribers
- 1 Sales Funnel
- 1 Blog
- 1 Automation Rule
- 1 Tag
- 1 Email Campaign
But, you can send unlimited emails and have unlimited blog posts, which is perfect, if you know what you are doing.
So, I’ve designed a Lead Acquisition System using the Free Version of Systeme, while considering the limitations.
Lead Acquisition System
The Lead Acquisition System enables you to collect up to 2,000 leads and communicate with them as frequently as you want to.
You can build relationships and make offers to your heart's content.
I can give you the system and even give you some guidance, but what you do is entirely up to you.
I propose an ethical strategy where you respect the attention your leads, prospects and customers give you.
Attention is one of their scarcest commodities.
I’ve created a visual of how the system works, but looking at system diagrams can also be overwhelming.
So, I’ve built a live, working demo for you to see what it looks like in reality.
The link is below the systems diagram.
Systems Diagram

All the links and buttons are live, but the sign-up form is not. You can enter your details, but you won’t be added to our list (you are already on it).
The script for the Demo Lead Acquisition System has been written using the
Who, What, Why, How Framework.
You can use the following form to create prompts for writing your own script.
If you are good at building information systems, you can easily copy what I’ve created.
But, if you want some help, here are some options.
Option 1: Free 1-Click Install (DIY)
Building the Lead Acquisition System I’ve demonstrated could take hours if you have some skills, but it could take days if you don’t.
It’s most likely that you will never get it built.
Systeme has a great feature, where I can share what I’ve built and you can install it using just one click.
So I’ve built a complete Lead Acquisition System that can be installed with one click.
With just one click, you will get all the components of the demo version with placeholder images and text.
You can then change the logo, colours, images and text to suit your needs.
With one click, you get the following:
- Landing Page
- Opt-in Pop-Up Form
- Welcome Page
- Privacy Page
There is one technical bit that you have to do.
You have to create an automation to send a welcome email when someone signs up to your list.
Here is a link to the instructions that show you how to create the automation.
This should give you a good indication of whether you should be doing things yourself, or get expert help.
And all you need is a Gmail account to get started.
You can also set up a custom domain.
Here are the instructions to set up a custom domain.
You now have all the information needed to do it yourself with some help.
You can get the 1-Click Install For Free.
You now own a Free Lead Acquisition System and can start collecting leads, building relationships and making offers.
Option 2: Done For You (Using Gmail)
If the DIY option proves to be too challenging or time-consuming, I will take care of the installation, setup, configuration, and automation on your behalf.
All you need to do is sign up for Systeme and invite me as an assistant.
You own the system and can remove me at any time.
Once I have access, I will build your Lead Acquisition System.
You need to supply me with your logo, images and text and I will format and publish and automate everything.
I can also assist you with what you can offer to get a lead.
You can be up and running as early as next week.
If you are ready…
The price is a once-off fee of $200 (R3,000).
Click Here to Purchase the Done For You Option. Using Gmail is the quickest way to get started.
Option 3: Done For You (Using a Custom Domain)
Setting up your system with a custom domain is more complex and time-consuming, but it is also more professional.
You could even set it up as a subdomain of your existing website if you have one.
The process differs, depending on your domain provider.
Here is a link to the instructions again, in case you want to set up your custom domain yourself.
If this is too complex or will be too time-consuming, I can do it for you.
Option 3 has everything that Option 2 has, but everything runs on your custom domain.
The price is a once-off fee of $200 (R3,000)
Click Here to Purchase the Done For You Option with a Custom Domain. It’s the more professional option.
Notes:
Everything you’ve seen in this email series and all the purchase options have been created in Systeme.
Some of it is still very rudimentary and I don’t have fancy sales pages yet.
There is a saying we often use in the Agile Software Development World:
“Done is better than perfect!”
In the digital world we live in, we can get our offers out earlier and tweak them as we go along.
But, this does not mean that you must deliver junk.
If you don’t yet have a customer acquisition and retention system, these are the most cost-effective solutions I can offer without sacrificing quality.
I’m only doing this until I have enough case studies and perfected the process and my “system to sell my system.”
If you join now, you will get my personal attention as well. But I can’t give any promises as to how long I will personally be able to attend to everyone.
In my next email, I will introduce a fully scalable enterprise solution that has a complete Customer Acquisition and Retention System as described in the Strategy emails.
And it costs less than the minimum wage of a single person in most developed countries.
